I had a great experience with Oakmans, and Meg was very helpful and professional throughout. They responded clearly to my questions and made the process smooth and easy. I really appreciate their support and would happily recommend Oakmans.
As first-time buyers, finding the right home was a long journey. We viewed around 12–13 properties, and unfortunately, our experience with many estate agents was disappointing. We would often ask questions and be told that someone would check with the office and get back to us, only to never hear anything further. Our experience with Oakman was completely different. From the very first viewing, Khairi was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, professional, and able to answer all of our questions immediately. It was clear that he knew the property inside and out. When we arranged a second viewing, he was extremely accommodating, giving us plenty of time to take measurements and thoroughly inspect the property without feeling rushed. Once our offer was accepted, we worked closely with the Sales Progression Team, and they were equally fantastic. Trina, Sue, and Ellie were always patient, approachable, and happy to answer our many questions throughout the process. There were a few complications involving the solicitors, but the team kept us fully informed at every stage and ensured we were updated on all developments. Buying a first home can be stressful, but the professionalism, communication, and support we received from Oakman made the process much easier. Thank you to Khairi, Trina, Sue, Ellie, and the wider Oakman team for helping us find and secure our dream home. We would highly recommend Oakman to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.
Really good service to sell my house. All the staff I had contact with were friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the local market. From the initial valuation to completion. Paddy the valuer said it expected the property to sell within 35 days, I accepted an offer on day 32! The progression team helped move things along to complete within 12 weeks of the offer.
it’s been a little over 2 years since moving out of Birmingham but I will never ever forget this . I would not recommended this estate agent to my worst enemy. My friends and I were tricked into thinking we were going to get a nice brand new home . However , instead we were left with a dump of house and a nightmare of a landlord . As university students we weren’t aware of our rights and literally had no other option on where to go . Despite us complaining about the landlord and the house this company did nothing to help . The only person we could contact was our landlord. The whole year we lived here we argued with the landlord constantly about things being fixed we were gaslighted and led constant lies . The conditions of the house were so bad in the end we even had rat in the house due to multiple holes in throughout home. Advice to students stay in halls and don’t trust these estay agents or landlords all they care about is their profit . Please see pictures of our home on the day we were scheduled to move in and after paying a deposit.
From day one, the experience has been a nightmare. When we moved in, we were greeted with a disgusting smell — a mix of curry, tobacco, and weed. The washing machine and dryer were filthy. Within the first week, everything started falling apart: • Lights in the living room, shower room, and entrance stopped working. • The microwave only works when it “feels like it.” • The oven was absolutely revolting, despite their promise of a “high-end cleaning service.” • All the carpets are dirty, and the place is infested with spiders. We didn’t take their outrageously expensive “bills included” package, but they didn’t even bother to tell us which utility company the property is connected to. It’s now the second month of renting this so-called “super luxury” property, and most of these problems remain unresolved. The only thing they’re fast at? Chasing money. If you miss even 0.1p, they’ll spam you with payment reminders instantly — but when it comes to fixing issues, they’re nowhere to be found.
