Update 25/05/26: The wood looks like it is rotting - a few small holes have appeared and it looks like more knots are falling out. I am concerned about further deterioration. I am having to wallpaper one of the rooms due to marks left on the white wall during install. I can’t see what is ‘bespoke’ about the planks of wood; it seems they do not have a premises to store the wood and therefore did not want to take it back and so, they scrambled to get me booked in after I turned up at the address listed on google. No moisture readings were taken when Kieren came to inspect and so, this was not a thorough inspection, but only a surface level visual to which he pretended not to see the moisture mark on the landing. Any cladding / damp proof membrane (if it was even used) should come as standard with a solid hardwood flooring full service supply and fit, and so the business saying they put cladding down on the stairs is simply just part of the service. Original review: I am unhappy with the result and the service provided by Huscroft Flooring. Fitting was initially agreed for the 16th October 2025; however I was told the wood was delivered late and my install had to be pushed back with the company being flaky about agreeing dates. I got the sense that my job wasn’t important to them and that they were going to slot me in around other work which is what their emails seemed to suggest. I then took it upon myself to go to the address listed on google as I’d paid over £3000 deposit and I was concerned as no dates were set and communication had gone quite from them - however the wood had been delivered and was taking up space in one of my rooms. On arriving at the google listed address, I couldn’t find their premises and so I rang to say I was there. Lucy said she was working from home and no one had got back to me due to ‘personal issues’. I then said, can we agree dates for the near future or alternatively, you can collect the wood back and return my deposit (at one point prior, it was suggested that install might be in the new year and I wasn’t prepared to wait that long moreover consumer rights law stipulates that work must be completed in a timely manner and so logical says don’t take on the job if you can’t fulfil it in a reasonable amount of time!) I was told a refund was not an option as the wood was ‘bespoke’ (which I find hard to believe) and so I was left with no choice. Install dates when then agreed for mid-November and the work was completed. However shortly after, the flooring quickly turned to ugly in some places with black and grey staining being prominent. I reported this to Huscroft and they came and inspected. I was told the wood is supposed to come out like that - had I been forewarned of this I would never have gone ahead with the work. The flooring is simply unsightly in some places and for £7000 I’m disappointed at the result, service and response from Huscroft. I was told to monitor it and see what it’s like in a year, which just so happens to be when they guarantee runs out! Kieren who fitted and inspected even said “I’m not trying to pull the wool over your eyes” and “you’re only young and still learning” - interesting choice of words! Further to the unsightly marks to the flooring which perhaps could have been avoided if they’d just used some knotting solution / anti-knot treatment. I suspect something may have been amiss in the install process as the damp mark suggests! They also left some stains on my white wall. Overall a stressful experience.

Kieran was amazing. We ended up having to cancel a job last minute due to not having enough flooring and having to order more and he was very kind and tried to fit the new job as soon as possible. Thank you so much

Thought the original floorboards in our house were beyond repair, there were parts with no varnish and some large holes. Used Kieran and his team to try and salvage them and we're delighted with the results. Very professional and clear communication at all times.

We chose Huscroft Flooring to install our wooden floors based on the online reviews that I had read. I am pleased to say that the company more than deserved all the fantastic online reviews that I found! The company has been professional, reliable and courteous from our first telephone call with Lucy. Every meeting, date and promised information was exactly at the time we had agreed. The advice from Keiran about the flooring that would be most suitable for our house, was invaluable and has resulted in us being absolutely thrilled with the end product. Kieran is a perfectionist in his work, ensuring everything is just right, and he and James worked very carefully ensuring that everything was kept as clean and tidy as possible. Particularly impressive are the thresholds between rooms which are perfect. Kieran has also left us with information and the correct cleaning materials for how to look after the floor going forward. As you can see from the photographs, we have had our whole downstairs re-floored with parquet. It looks amazing in our 1960's house, just as if it was there the day we moved in. I cannot recommend this company more highly. Well done and thank you!

I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Huscroft Flooring for the sanding, staining and finishing of my existing wood floors. Kieran is very easy to deal with, helpful, and knowledgeable. I felt very confident in the company from day one. As far as the actual work, my expectations were far exceeded!
