Brilliant company, as a builder it's extremely frustrating when you have to deal with an architect and a structural engineer who aren't on the same page but these guys offer both services combined. Also very frustrating when you have an inexperienced structural engineer who over spec's everything to cover their own arse and makes you spend much more on materials. Again that is not an issue with these guys at all, they really know what they are talking about and how things should be done correctly without bankrupting the builder. I couldn't recommend them highly enough, so much so that I deleted the phone numbers of other companies I have previously used for the reasons stated above. Great guys, thanks ๐Ÿ˜Š

Paddick Engineering must get a mention, they did a fantastic job when drawing up designs for a big project I had in Leeds really easy to work with and great communication. I would highly recommend using this company.

I recently started my own property business and Daniel at Paddick Engineering handled the structural engineering work for my very first house project. From the beginning, Daniel was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely supportive, helping to make the process straightforward and stress-free. His communication was excellent throughout, and he took the time to explain everything clearly while providing expert advice whenever needed. The work was completed efficiently, with great attention to detail and a high level of professionalism. As this was my first project, it was important to work with someone I could trust, and Daniel exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Daniel and Paddick Engineering to anyone looking for reliable, professional structural engineering services. I look forward to working with him again on future projects.

I had an extremely distressing and disappointing experience with Paddick Engineering. At the outset, they were responsive and reassuring. They agreed to adhere to a 10-week timeline after I made it clear that my building works were scheduled to begin within a specific timeframe. Unfortunately, this commitment was not honoured. The planning application process was handled very poorly. Forms were submitted incorrectly, resulting in repeated validation failures. Despite chasing updates, my emails were frequently ignored and, at one point, my number was blocked - which I found highly unprofessional. I had to contact the council myself for updates, and even the case officer reached out to Paddick Engineering directly on several occasions (as a courtesy) to guide them on the changes required for approval. Despite this, it became evident that they lacked a basic understanding of standard planning requirements. The application was ultimately refused due to poor-quality drawings, lack of compliance, and failure to incorporate clear guidance provided to them. What should have been a straightforward validation process within a week took approximately 8 weeks due to their errors. Furthermore, drawings were produced without properly consulting me. When I requested a meeting to discuss my requirements and avoid assumptions, this was refused. It reached a point where I had to send a formal legal letter before any meaningful response was received. Only then did communication resume. I later discovered that Paddick Engineering are not registered architects but technicians, which helped explain the poor level of design knowledge and inadequate drawings. Instead of the agreed 10-week timeline, the process took over 30 weeks and ultimately left me back at square one - with significant loss of time and money. Despite this, they refused to offer any compensation and only refunded the portion relating to structural calculations that had not yet been completed. Afterwards, I came across similar reviews from others describing issues with poor technical knowledge and financial loss, which unfortunately aligns with my experience. I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution.

We had a great experience working with Paddick Engineering. From the initial enquiry through to delivery, the team were professional, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. They provided clear, well prepared drawings and calculations, and guided us through the process with confidence, particularly around building regulations and submissions. Communication was excellent throughout and everything was delivered on time as agreed, which helped keep our project moving smoothly. Overall, a very reliable and efficient service. I would highly recommend Paddick to anyone looking for structural or architectural support.
