Allerton Bathroom Fitters

A few years back but, my original review is no longer visible. Briefly, a 2m sq. tiled room. I want tiles removed, walls skimmed, shower enclosure, toilet, 4 x cupboards worktop and sink fitted. I was told it'd be a 6 working days job, starting on a Monday, and agreed a price. The job. They turned up 09:00 on a Wed, stop at 12:00, back at 14:00 finish at 15:30. In the 4.5 hours they were there they'd drank 12 cups of my coffee in my cups and left the cups for me to clean. I called the boss, fuming. Anyway, the job was completed(ish) after 18 working days, yes EIGHTEEN days. Delay example, 1 day, getting home from work I needed to drill a 16mm hole in a wall for the toilet feed as their tool couldn't do it; they allegedly tried all day with a 16mm drill straight through a brick wall with a 240v drill, couldn't do it. I used an 18v battery drill and completed the job using an 8mm, then 12mm then 16mm drill, took about 5 mins. I did it before they'd drove off. The only decent bit of work would have been the tiling except for when they got to a recessed window they left the tile trim protrudong like a ridiculous bird's beak. Steve tried to BS me about it being my fault coz I'd bought 12mm thick tiles. I shook my head, went to B&Q and bought 2 x external corner trims, 50p each, gave them to Steve and said, "Use them !" All in all an expensive and bad experience. Sorry, but that is how it went. Also, I am a human being, not a 'Local guide' like a lot of reviewers; if you know what I mean.

Removed a bath and replaced with a walk-in shower in a bungalow (Aug 2025). This also necessitated some external drain work. We are very happy with their work, an excellent result that has transformed our bathroom and future-proofed it. Very professional and friendly, and paid great attention to the detail. And all at a very competitive price. Highly recommend!
