Used Victor Welsh Legal for some probate work. They have been very informative through the whole process, especially Joe Neary who dealt with our case. He was very helpful in all matters and responded in a timely manner to all my queries.

We needed to sell our villa quickly, we had used Victor Welsh solicitors in the past. Bernice Northover dealt with us again on our second sale with them. Bernice is very helpful and very professional she goes out of her way to help with anything. We felt very at ease with her and she explained what to us, we’re very difficult situations. I have recommended her on several occasions to friends who were selling and buying and she has never let anyone down. We didn’t even have to go back to Spain as she took care of power of attorney and everything was done for us. She even set us up with Currencies Direct and the cheques were paid in and ready for us within days. Started Strong, But Left Us Stranded When It Mattered Most We first engaged Victor Welsh in 2018 to assist with transferring my late mother’s share of a property in Tenerife, and initially, Bernice and Alejandro provided excellent support. When the property was later sold in 2020, they took on the capital gains tax (CGT) process. Unfortunately, that’s when things took a turn. Despite already paying their fees, they later admitted they hadn’t accounted for the full complexity of the CGT obligations in their service charges. This oversight led to years of delays, mounting penalties, and frustration. I tried numerous times to get clear guidance, but communication eventually stopped altogether, leaving me with no choice but to hire another firm to resolve the issue. While they may be suitable for straightforward property transfers, anyone with complex tax needs may want to seek a more responsive, specialised firm.

Rang this firm to get a commissioner of oaths service on a Statutory Decleration form. Very simple job. Delightful lady on first call said they had to see form first before you go in ( not sure why as a standard form!). Second time I rang in as I knew when I would have the form and to book an appointment. I got a very unhelpful lady. Refused to book in an appointment even provisionally! When I rang back just after 12pm on a Friday to progress this I got answer phone saying they were open 9am to 5pm that day!! Left message - no call back. I would be very wary of using this unprofessional firm if they cannot get such a simple job sorted.
