Brandon was compassionate and swift with my application. Unfortunately during move in the Property Manager was unreachable and the Concierge doesn't even know where the keys for the meters are. The team stopped being helpful the moment I signed and the apartment was unclean when I got there.
Chloe Minards is the sales representative who helped me rent my house. She has been responsive and very helpful, especially when I lost my guarantor. This is my first time renting a home with Simple Life Homes, and I noticed they do not have an automatic email acknowledgement. Because of that, I had to call and wait over 16 minutes to speak to someone. However, whenever I raised a question with Chloe, she always tried her best to help. If the agency could also provide status updates proactively, the experience would be perfect. Thank you, Chloe.
The sales experience with Gemma was great, she explained everything well, she was lovely, no issues, 5 stars for her alone. However, I cannot bring myself to give 5 stars overall due to the after sales, there is absolutely no aftercare whatsoever, we’ve been waiting months for a follow up visit and repair to numerous issues with our home, but have had nothing due to the contractors “querying” the issues (which have been there since day one)
I found Ascend to be extremely proactive, especially Gemma who worked fantastically to secure a new build rental for us. She was extremely accessible via email and worked very hard to secure for us. Overall, offered an excellent service and would highly recommend.
DO NOT RENT FROM ASCEND! If you decide to go ahead, don’t say you weren’t warned. If you are a landlord, find a different agent, unless you’re one of those landlords that only care about receiving your monthly rent and does not care about the tenant’s living conditions. Extremely unprofessional agency that will let out a flat when it’s not ready, although they had informed you it was ready. You will then face weeks and months of trying to get them to put the flat in a liveable condition to no avail. If you decide to move out because you have had enough of their bullshit, they will tell you that you have to pay a £660 fee to find a replacement and complete a new reference check. Remember that you rented an uncompleted flat? Well, they will claim that you left the flat in a poor state😀 and try to deduct from your deposit.
