LANDLORDS AVOID. I would strongly urge any landlord to avoid LPS. They managed a property for me, but their lack of accountability and professionalism makes them a liability to both landlords and tenants. Communication is extremely poor, with deposits being released without agreement. Important updates were not dealt with in a timely manner and responses were difficult to obtain. Having experienced their service firsthand, I found it consistently disorganised, reactive, and careless. Send your business somewhere else.

Avoid at all costs – this felt like a scam. I paid a holding deposit in good faith. I completed every form, provided every document, and made it clear I intended to proceed. I did not withdraw. I did not lie. I did not withhold information. And yet somehow, after the referencing process, my holding deposit was simply kept. No meaningful explanation. No clear breakdown. Just a vague justification that doesn’t match what’s written in their own tenancy terms. The agreement states that a holding deposit may only be retained if an applicant withdraws or provides false or misleading information. Neither applies to me. So I am left asking: on what basis was my money kept? From my perspective, this feels like a deliberate tactic. Take deposits. Put applicants through a process. Find a reason — any reason — and keep the money. When you question it, you’re met with dismissive responses and circular explanations. I never imagined I would walk away from a tenancy process feeling like I’d been scammed. But that is genuinely how this has felt. The power imbalance is obvious: they hold your deposit, they control the narrative, and they know most people won’t have the time or energy to challenge it. What should have been an exciting step toward securing a home turned into a stressful and upsetting experience. If you are considering paying a holding deposit here, please be extremely cautious. Get everything in writing. Ask for precise clarification on the exact circumstances under which they can retain your money. And if anything feels unclear, don’t ignore that instinct. I would not wish this experience on anyone.
