Damp and Mould Solutions

I had a dump patch appear in the downstairs chimney breast. I called in a couple of Damp specialists who both told me I had rising damp and beeded to take all the plaster off the chimney breast. I was not sure this was the case as the patch had appeared quickly. I decided to get a survey from the Damp mould specialists and it cost £180 it was worth every penny. They confirmed that it was not rising damp but water penetrating from the chimney stack. I subsequently got a roofer in to carryout repairs and the dump patch has subsequently dried out. Getting the survey saved a significant amount of money, as well as the inconvenience of carrying out work inside the house that was not required. They provided a very professional service And I’d certainly use them again.
