CSV did a prompt survey, which was thorough and highlighted many issues that I hadn't been aware of, they also included helpful information about the location and an overview. I then had a very useful conversation with the Surveyor, who was friendly, well-informed and helpful. CSV were excellent value, quickly answered my requests and helped me enormously in the daunting task of buying a property. I recommend them without reservation.
From the outset, communication was really good with an initial call to talk through the process & follow up call to review the Level 3 Survey findings.<br>The report itself was thorough & the inclusion of drone photography was really helpful. This firm was recommended to me by a neighbour two floors below me, whose flat they had valued six months earlier. They then valued mine, a higher floor in the same building, at around £35,000 less than my neighbour's, citing "market conditions." Yet my neighbour's flat sold extremely quickly, the market hasn't fallen since, and recent sales in the building have actually been higher, with the comparable flats closest to mine selling for more than my neighbour's did. A higher flat valued below a lower one, six months on and in a stable market, simply doesn't add up.<br><br>Beyond the valuation itself, the report was littered with errors. Disappointed, and wouldn't recommend.
We booked a level 3 survey. Survey was well conducted and very helpful and detailed.<br><br>Our only feedback would be that we were told that they would be able to give us guidance on costs for certain works to the house. They did provide this on a call and said they would be happy to follow up later that same day with written costings so we could provide this to our seller. However, after chasing them with several emails, we were eventually told they in fact could not provide this, which I understand is a liability thing but they should have just said that on the call.<br><br>They also emailed me multiple times asking to change this review which I originally gave three stars.
