Blue Engineering

We engaged with James Nevin at Blue Engineering to support us on our house sale. Our house was underpinning over 20 years ago before we purchased and we don't have any paperwork. Our buyers, understandably, want to ensure the building is structurally sound. We raised the requirements to James at Blue Engineering. He provided an honest assessment of the requirements - specifically that it would be impossible for any engineer to deliver on the requirements and that an alternate approach would be required. James articulated the alternate approach, explained the approach in layman terms, and provided a framework within which we should work with our buyers. Blue Engineering were superb throughout and I would not hesitate to recommend them for your structural engineering needs.

Even when the plans and drawings of Issue 2 were sent to me , it was good to know that Blue Engineering were there to answer an additional query or two from my builder who required the expertise of a structural engineer. This support service is so important, very reassuring and very much valued.

I've worked with Blue Engineering on several projects in the past. Now I've set up my own practice and have had Blue carry out SE service on one of my own domestic extension projects. I have been very pleased with their work and found them very responsive to my questions and to comments I had on their drawings and spec. The work was also turned round quickly and I found the drawings to be particularly clear and easy to read. Blue's approach to materials and C02 emissions is refreshing and having the carbon emissions for structure in your documentation is a great inclusion to have too.
