Joining P1 has genuinely been one of the most rewarding decisions I have made for my health and fitness. From day one, what stood out was how welcoming and supportive the environment is. No matter your experience level, you are made to feel comfortable, encouraged, and part of the community.

The coaching team is a huge part of what makes P1 special. Ben, Abby, Peter, Mel, and Katie are all knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping members succeed. The personalised programming has helped me to build strength and confidence sustainably. Every session feels purposeful, and the support available makes it easy to stay consistent.

What really sets P1 apart is the culture the team has created. Everyone is treated with respect, encouraged to do their best, and supported throughout their journey. I could not recommend P1 more highly to anyone looking for expert coaching, a welcoming community, and a gym that genuinely cares about its members.

I’ve been attending P1 Gym 3–4 times a week for over four years and would highly recommend it. It’s a classes only approach focused on full-body workouts, usually using free weights and bodyweight exercises. I’ve achieved my goal of building strength without needing to plan anything other than turning up. The coaches are all great on technique, and the members are friendly, so I’ve hit personal bests on both deadlift and bench press that I probably wouldn’t have achieved on my own.

A side benefit is that I’ve completed three half marathons, the Yorkshire Three Peaks twice, and climbed Ben Nevis with hardly any additional training beyond my 3–4 weekly sessions at P1.

P1 isn’t just a gym. It’s completely changed the way I think about fitness. I’ve tried everything in the past, from personal training to boot camps and circuits, but nothing stuck like this. P1 has made me genuinely enjoy exercise and more importantly, turn it into a consistent habit.

The team is incredible! Everyone is friendly, supportive, and always there to encourage you and push you further when you feel like you’ve got nothing left. It’s such a positive environment to be part of. Highly recommend!!!

I first joined P1 in 2021 and really enjoyed it. After about 18 months, I decided I could manage my training on my own — it turns out I was wrong.

Fast forward to 2025... I was recovering from surgery following a sports injury and was no longer able to train at my usual gym. I contacted Abby to ask whether P1 might be able to support me again. She reassured me that, once I had sign-off from my physiotherapist, the sessions could be adapted to suit my needs.

I was a little apprehensive about returning, as I didn’t want to feel like I was “making a fuss”. However, the coaches have been absolutely wonderful. They adapted sessions seamlessly, with no fuss at all. Since returning, I’ve seen a significant improvement in both my strength and functional fitness.

The support and environment have been really important to my recovery. Returning after surgery was challenging, but the coaches have been consistently patient, understanding, and encouraging, allowing me to rebuild at my own pace. I’ve always felt supported, and the welcoming atmosphere has made a real difference.

Best gym ever!
Seriously, the model of small group PT sessions is perfect for me. You get all the support, encouragement and guidance you need, and the instructors really know their stuff.
I was always happy going to a gym but I probably wasted far too much time faffing around, deciding what to do, staring at my phone between sets. Now I go to the gym and in 1 hour I'm getting a full body workout like never before.
Oh - and such a friendly place too, everyone is chatty and get's on well.

I’ve been training at P1 Fitness for over a year now and it’s honestly one of the best things I’ve done for myself. It’s such a friendly, welcoming place to train and caters for all fitness levels. Abby, Peter and the team are brilliant – really knowledgeable and always on hand to guide you and make sure you’re getting the most out of each session. The group training makes sessions fun and motivating (it’s also a great way to meet new people!), but you still get that 1:1 time and attention so it feels personal. Couldn’t recommend P1 more!

Abby was very rude and dismissive to me when I made an enquiry. Would not recommend.
