Julie Twist Properties - Manchester Estate Agents

By far the best agent I have worked with. I have 8 BTLs and have worked with many of differing standards. Julie Twist are professional, polite, razor sharp but also don't try to shaft the landlord for excessive expenses.

Luke shown us round 3 different properties. He understood exactly what we wanted, was always early, got the ball rolling on offers the minute we left, and secured us an apartment within 30 minutes of agreeing to one.<br><br>100% should use him and Julie Twist - by far the best estate agents in Manchester, ask for him personally if you need the right home!

I strongly advise against renting with Julie Twist. Personally, I will never rent with them again. Be aware that if you do rent with them they are likely to try to steal a large part of your deposit at the end of the tenancy.<br><br>Positive:<br>+ Our property manager responded fairly quickly to emails.<br><br>Major Negative:<br>- Julie Twist tried to baselessly withhold (i.e. steal) £240 from me when moving out - citing bogus cleaning deductions. Julie<br>Twist ignored the evidence I gave them that directly contradicted their claims. I appealed to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme and they judged in my favour, so I kept all my money, but it cost me a lot of time and stress to deal with.<br><br>Other Negatives:<br>- I was told the wrong move in date on the phone (10th September instead of 9th October) when asked for a holding deposit. Relocating from another city for work this ended up costing me a lot of money and hassle to accommodate. Julie Twist were unapologetic when I spotted their mistake later.<br>- When I moved in, my electric key fob did not work so I was unable to access the building. They did apologise and resolved it in 2-3 hours.<br>- The boiler was broken on my arrival and had no control panel meaning I could not set hot water to boil. This was at least resolved within a couple of weeks of me raising the problem.<br>- The inventory they provided was carelessly constructed - citing multiple items that were entirely absent.<br>- The move-in-binder was not accurate. When I queried it, they just said unapologetically that the move-in-binder is inaccurate.<br>- On one occasion they came to conduct a viewing of the flat to prospective buyers (in early August) without giving me any notice/warning at all. They would have let themselves in had I been absent. This is illegal.<br>- On 3 occasions their property inspector scheduled a visit with me but then failed to attend. On the first time giving no apology. On the third time giving no apology and never acknowledging the missed visit.
